What Makes Stockton Aloe #1 Different?
Our goal is simple: keep the aloe as close as practical to the gel inside the freshly harvested leaf. That means accepting the natural texture and variation of aloe instead of processing it into a uniform, shelf-stable beverage.
- Inner leaf only: We hand-fillet the leaves and use the inner gel rather than grinding up the whole leaf.
- Raw and never heated: Our gel is not pasteurized or made from reconstituted aloe powder.
- Nothing added: No added water, preservatives, sweeteners, thickeners, citric acid, or sodium benzoate.
- Natural pulp: The gel is unfiltered, not decolorized or deodorized. Its natural texture remains.
- Preserved by freezing: We freeze the finished aloe instead of adding preservatives. It is perishable and needs prompt cold storage when delivered.
What to Expect From Your Aloe
If you’re used to thin, clear aloe drinks from a store shelf, ours may surprise you. Stockton Aloe #1 contains real gel and pulp. Expect a slippery texture, natural variation in thickness, and a vegetal taste that can sometimes be bitter.
Why Does the Aloe Look Pink?
Our aloe can develop a pink tint during freezing and may become clearer again as it warms. Because we do not decolorize the gel, these natural changes remain visible. Color alone is not a reliable way to judge freshness; proper storage and handling still matter.
How Should I Store It?
Open your shipment promptly and refrigerate or freeze the aloe according to the handling instructions provided. Keep your reserve supply frozen and thaw what you plan to use. You can divide the gel into smaller freezer-safe containers, leaving room for expansion.

After Rodney’s death, I was asked to help preserve his work. When saving the original company was no longer practical, I founded Stockton Aloe 1, Inc. to continue that legacy. As our product range expanded, we began doing business as Haley Nutrition. Stockton Aloe #1 remains our aloe vera product brand.
